Awake at 3:30...am.

*R*

We were awakened this morning at 3:30 A.M. by a huge crashing noise, police cars and police men with guns. A man had hit into our fence in our side yard/back yard, hit our car and totaled it, hit the fence across the street from us (dragging our entire fence with him), and flipped over. Nice way to wake up huh? I can tell you my nerves are shot right now. Our front house windows are broken as well. After assessing the damage quickly, my dad went out and I quickly turned on my mom's computer in her room praying with all my might that our friends Arielle and Arianna would be online at that time. They are 7 hours ahead of us because they live in Romania. Praise God, they were! I was able to talk with Arielle for a bit and she said she'd be praying for us, and Jessica was talking with Arianna. It was a miracle that we were able to catch them, as Arielle said that they were leaving shortly to go grocery shopping. God arranged it so they'd be there to comfort us! :) Thank you so much for your support ladies! That means the world to us! :D

Please, please, just keep us in your prayers. Since the car is totaled, I don't know what that means for us. We only have one and without that it's just so hard to have faith that it will all work out. My dad could lose his job and then where would we be? I am trying sooooo hard to trust Him right now, after all, that's all I can do. I feel like satan is just hitting us with one thing after another lately. I know He is in control and all things work together for good. I am so thankful at least that no one was hurt, not even the people across the street or there house...the guy's car stopped right before the house, so he didn't hit it.

There is something very funny in all of this...he hit our fence, and the fence across the street, but he didn't hit our gate or the gate across the street! Lol! I'll try to get some pictures to you all later, if I'm still awake that is. ;) This is going to be a long day/week.

God is strengthening me in all of this, I grabbed my bible quick after it happened, and the first thing I opened to was Psalm 121 ~ "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help..." :) Ah, sweet peace. :)

It's amazing though how God puts things in places for us, I just recently read this post by Sarah Nicole, very excellent, and it was so comforting to read. I guess I will have to keep believing that He IS greater than satan. :)

Trusting in His Love,
~Rachel (& Jessica &the family)~

A quick update...

The car that ran into ours was a stolen vehicle. Two people were in the car, a man and woman. They apparently let someone off a little ways down the road. The car came sideways through our yard, hit the side of our car with the bumper, went into a tumble down our driveway over the street and landed upside down in the yard across from us. It screeched and crashed the whole way.

Praise God that no one was injured!

Standing on His firm foundation!

OH MY!!! What a thing to wake up to! ...And your poor car and windows and fence--and now what you're having to face with the possibility of your dad losing his job... I'll definitely be keeping you all in my prayers!

This must be a very hard time for all of you. Just keep on remembering that all things work together for good to those who trust God and are called according to His purpose! Even though it may be hard to believe now, later you may look back at this time in your lives as a turning point, and be glad for it...?

Love and prayers,
Cora

Wow! Yes, praise the Lord that no one was hurt. I will be praying for you dear sisters and your family.

There is a verse that comes to mind from Psalm 27:
"The Lord is my Rock and my Salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?"

God bless you both so much.
Love,
Rachel M. :)
